Indira Gandhi Medical College came into existence in the Year 1966 and is recognised by Medical Council of India. There are 31 specialised departments which are functioning in the IGMC with more than 157 faculty members and 174 Senior Resident. Modern medical facilities in Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Radiotherapy & Oncology, Neurology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics Surgery, Cardiothrocic Surgery, Obst and Gynae, Neonotology, Urology, Neuro-Surgery, Gastroentology, Dermatology, ENT, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Nuclear Medicine Opthalmology are available in the institute which are of all India level.
