- The new OPD Block of Kamla Nehru State Hospital for Mother and
Child has been inaugurated on 19th November 2006. This block will
house spacious OPD for OBG in addition to lab facilities.This
multi story block has well planned Neonetology Unit, Private wards,
labour room with labour ward and well planned teaching block.
With the opening of this block the facilities at Kamla Nehru State
Hospital for Mother and Child has helped in improving the patient
care.
- Constructiion of auditorium block has begun and the state of
the art auditorium complex will be completed by the end of 2007.
This complex will have parking facililties, space for libarary,
canteen and the main autitorium with sitting capicity of 1000.
- The new ICU has been made fully fnctional from 22nd April 2007.
- The telemedicine facility has been made fully functional. IGMC,
Shimla is connected withPGI Chandigarh for data session. Now 12
Health Centres of Himachal Pradesh have been connected with IGMC,
Shimla for video teleconferencing and second opinion.
